foood updates.

wed was sp team dinner at ah yat seafood restuarant. treat by mic. heh!tt is like the only gd thing abt audit. u get treats at atas places after engagements. many more to come i hope.

fri was supper with pork and roomie at bedok 85. roomie is my passenger for the very 1st time.hahas. yups.she is still alive and kicking now.

sat was preparing almond jelly for aug batch a10 christmas party. got the secret recipe from vincent.hahhas. pork came over to help me. we decided to try smth new.
almond plus mango jelly!it was a success.hahas.
i din bring this new creation to the party though.hahhas.

yups.partied at li en's hse. there was loads of fooood larr.
had to leave early to pick up my parents from the airport. left after the a10 telematch.hahah.organised by sebas. did a quick gift exchange.
received a cute pouch from xiao tian.heh heh.nice.
and i hope the stuff i got for junjie would come into use.hahas.

and yess.my parents are finally back in sg. more human activity in the hse every morning.
and most imptly.homecooked food =)

i have a million things to do.
but i only have 3 days this wk. rahh!!

weekend has been good.
parents went china for tour.
so the car is free for me to drive.
they didnt say it explicitly.
but my mother left the key on the table and reminded me to warm up the engine once every 2 3 days.
hmm i take it tt i can drive ard.
hee.
of coz with pork's company coz i still dont think i can drive alone.
and my parking sucks.

bought my shoes finally.
and badminton-ed today.
i feel healthy today.
heh.

i miss my parents.
the hse is so empty.
and there wont be homecooked food after i knock off.

back from bkk!
3 days passed way too fast.
was blogging abt the 3 days.but the post just disappeared.
so being lazy me.im just gg to summarise everything.
things are cheap.but not as cheap as i imagined.
and mbk was a disappointment.boohoo.
platinum mall and chatuchak is still the best.
but we got lost in chatuchak for an hr plus coz its simply tooooo huge.
and i din buy as much things as i expected.i want more looot!
oh and manicure is dirt cheap!

sawadeekaaaaaa.

and thai massage was abit of a torture.
i was giggling initially.
and screamed at 1 part.
felt like i suffered blue black on my shoulder at the end.hahas.
but overall it was still not too badd~

was shopping for xmas exchange gift ytd.

and i bought this starbucks tumbler for porks fren xmas gift exchage.
he bought a silver one.
we are secretly eyeing each others pressie.
i hope i get the silver one!
it will be my companion.together with hot coffee inside to tide me thru the peak period.

more xmas gift shopping later.

another weekend well spent!

was alr in holiday mood on thur.
and we wanted to leave earlier tt day at ard 645.
but we just happily cont with our work.plus no cab wanted to pick us up at ulu tuas.
so the day ended at 8 plus instead.

pork had to work on fri coz the filing deadline is on mon.
our cycling plan got called off =(
met up with ellen and christie instead.qt an impromptu one.heh.
and we went hunting for starbucks.
ask me and i now know where are the starbucks at raffles city,marina sq,suntec.
we were like how fickled minded.
settled down several times somewhere.but left within 2 mins.
in search of starbucks.
in the end we finally finally settled down at coffeebean after an hr plus of searching.HAHA.
caught up qt abit.heh heh.
christie insisted on a meet the parents session and so.pork joined 3 of us for dinner.
qt a weird combi.but yeah.still a successful meet the parents session.
and we went chinatown after dinner to get our thai baht.
WHEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.its just another 5 days.
i think i would most likely be in holiday mood this coming week.
but i would still do my best at work ok.(although its easier to think tt im just making a guest appearance on the next job)

sat was pasir ris park with pork!
superb weather tt day.

me with pork with curry pok still in his mouth.

the famous spider web.wanted to challenge it again but i didnt manage to climb further up since my bones are brittle now.
and the kids at the other side were jumping vigourosly.
i thought it was just safer to stop there in case i din know how to get down.
thought the spider web was much bigger and taller in the past.
only proves that i have grown up.

entangled.and unable to get himself out.

enjoying the seabreeze.
the weather was totally perfect.
yups.the day ended up with dinner at tampines.

sunday was just nua-ing.
not much of nuaing actually.
was in chinatown with my family half the day.
got back.checked email.
and ended up doing some work.rahhh.
had to clear off some review points.
and hand over my stuff to another colleague while i move on to the next job.
oh wells.
i hope the things wont come back to me again.

meanwhile.
i shall look forward to BKK!!

I dun wanna go thru the same vicious cycle everytime.
when u get a not so nice engagement. u seriously feel like tendering.
but after which when u start to cope.u think u shld be able to hang on for another 2 more years.
its qt tiring to go thru this cycle.
to me its either now.or 2 years later.
n it doesnt help when ppl kp talking abt leaving.

the week has been a roller coaster for me.
new client.no py papers to refer to.everything starts from scratch.
felt vv lost.things were not vv efficient.
i just feel vv demoralized tt i din complete much at the end of the wk.
and i have to start on the other entity next wk.it just keeps piling up.
n u dont feel vv much happy tt there is only 4 days next wk coz u dont think u can finish yr stuff by then.

in a dilemma.i dun wanna give up so easily.plus i dunno what else can i do.
but then again.wads the point if yr not happy.its not always a must to follow the normal path tt ppl take right.

i have a feeling that i would just end up going thru this vicious cycle over and over again and 2 years would be up in no time.zzz.

another wkend well spent.

fri night was meetup with 47 ppl to cel jen and elaines 22nd.heh.

sat afternoon was celebration for hp's 22nd and we managed to surprise her!hahhas.

followed by shopping with the gals after the lunch.hahhas.poor vincent.he managed to survive the shopping trip with us.
or rather we survived the shopping trip with him.coz he kept reminding us how overpriced the stuff were.
i bought my hand cream!heee.was supposed to postpone this expense to next mth.
but since we went loccitane.i bought it first.ooops.

then dinner-ed with pork.
and reluctantly watched paranormal activity.
it was not as scary as i expected.but 2 scenes were qt disturbing and i hope i can wash them off my memory.
it was a real low budget movie.
and some audience were actually laughing at some parts which was supposed to be scary?
overall.not a recommended movie unless u have nth to do.hahas.

went geylang to da bao dinner/supper before heading to ecp.
the weather totally rockss!

as for today.its a nua-ing day at home.
i hope the coming 2 wks would be fine.rahhh!

every friday.u will always see at least 1 person taking photos ard the office.oh wells.
i may not know the person.but it still affects my morale.
ytd was also sebas's last day.booo.i think we would probably not get used to not seeing him ard.

went dinner and then marina barrage.
chatted updated complained laughed blah.
i was stoning half the time.
the rest are really cut out to be auditors.they can stay up really late.

no cab wanted to come into the barrage and pick us up.
and so.we walked freaking freaking far back to marina bay mrt.
in heels.and in the ultra stonified mood.at least for me.hahas.

on the other hand.im feeling loved because my father just came back from hk for work and he bought 2 hp keychains,pouch and tshirt for me.tt is so nice of him.the thought counts much more than the pressies.
hopefully he will feel less stressed after leaving this job.
or prob he has intention to retire.
so long as im still working.i guess things shld be fine.

i wish every other week is like these 2 weeks.
pretty slack.ok but i know i must stop dreaming.

anyways.last wkend was gd.
agm on fri at the pump room.didnt stay long though.pork came over to pick me and ailing up.yayss.
n we went prata after tt.

sat i went to dye hair with roomie.hehe.
pamper myself a lil.

me feeling like im in microwave.and roomie like a character in wu xia xiao shuo.eg. du yan long.

my base color and my highlight.

turned out to be qt bright and i liked it.
but when i went to office on monday most of the ppl were exclaiming tt my hair is vv vv red.made me a lil self-conscious.yeah but its slowly fading.not too bright.just right i guess.haahs.

after which met up with most of the 47 gals and vin for dinner at tempopo.oooo.
the dinner rocks.
esp. the tasty egg intro-ed by roomie.hahhas.we all love it.
we went clinic to chill after dinner.
it was halloween and lots of ppl dressed up.sooo coool.

took qt a few photos with some strangers.and this lil gal is especially cute!!she carries a sword made out of cardboard lar.hahahas.

we had more fun taking photos.hehs.we ordered the syringes and blood tranfusion which is the drip lar.
very ex.alcohol wasnt vv strong.yeah we had more fun taking pics.hahaas.

sunday was just nua-ing ard with pork at my hse.i love nua-ing.

work has been okkkaaay this weeek.
qt alot of ppl are in office =)
at least for my level.
and the happiest thing today is...
i got lots of stationary.
from my previous job.we normally cant requisite these stationaries except if u did some bigger jobs.
so it felt like some pressies for me.
lots of post-its and highlighters and pens and yada yada.

post-its make me happy.ok half of them are wm's.
but they are still enough to make me happy.

ok lets just hope that they can last me till i get another chance to receive these pressies again.

okies.hopefully tmr will end off the week nicely.
before all the jobs start coming in again.

wkend went past too fast.as usual.

kbox on sat with tut mates.
i think i was complaining more than singing.
but it felt great to be complaining.hahahas.
n i dont have to worry if the walls have ears bcoz its too noisy anyway.

and dinner was with colleagues.we had close to full attendencee.
a farewell dinner for sebas.yeahs the turnover rate is that high.
i prob just have to get used to frens leaving.
sebas got pressies for each of us.so you xing.
i got a disney tumbler.
n i won a prize in the a10 lucky draw.hahas.
yeahs these are lil things that they do that makes work bearable.
emails with jokes.weird contest.newsletter.photo sharing.mostly initiated by him.
hopefully it will all still be ard when he leaves.

went ktv after dinner.yes again.hahahas.
the rest din wanna go home after ktv n hang ard.for me of coz i went home coz i was tired.
qt anti social.but the zz monster always win.hahahs.

and its sunday alr.
went to porks hse.
coz its his turn to work over the wkends.
sooo.i cooked.like what he did the previous time.
i cooked pasta carbonara.WAHAH.
and i must admit tt it really taste qt awful.except for the bacon.

the not-so-nice masterpiece.

yups.and hopefully this week will pass by smoothly.
am only doing admin work for these 2 days.
the next 3 days i shall leave it to fate.
seems like from next wk onwards i will be bz till my bkk trip!rahh.
but at least for one of my job i will be working with fio.
think they managed to deconflict everything and yupss.
the jobs for peak seeeeems okayyyyyy.i must emphasize seems.
most of them i did or will be doing the interim work so i would somehow be more familiar with the work and the client.i hope it helps.hahas.

friday is round the corner again.wheee.

this week is prob one of the better weeks.

nice client.nice view of the sea and ir.nice senior.n at least the ppl at the client place bother to occassionally pop by n ask if we want coffee.ask if we are progressing well.ok prob coz most of them are ang mohs and thats wad they always do.

i think at other places they would probably pretend not to see us if possible coz us=take up their time.
i haven met nasty ppl yet.but if im the client i would feel tt way too.

1 more week to dye hair.
43 more days to bkk!
countdowns make me happy.

i walked alot today.

morning with pork.frm hort park to kent ridge park i think.
on our way back.i thought the tree top walk or wadeva would eventually bring us back to where we came frm.
but it didnt.
so we walked n walked.believing tt when we reached the main road we would eventually find our way back.
but we didnt.
we ended up at pasir panjang.
walked for a fair bit thinking we might get back.
but we didnt.
and we gave up.
took a cab back to find the car.
so stupid!!hahahas.
oh well.we always do stupid things.wads new.

evidence!
it was freaking sunny coz by the time we started 'hiking' it was already noon.bravo.

had another walk in the evening.
was having dinner with my family.
until my mother brought up the issue of what gift to get for my relatives with my 1st pay.coz tt family used to dote on me when i was young.
we had some disagreement previously alr.
and she was really pissing me off.

i thought her suggestions were not really appropriate.and its not like im earning 5 6k per mth.i still have a loan to settle.
my father was also on my side.
i was suggesting maybe bird nest for the whole family.
but she was talking abt healthcare product.and 1 wallet each for each of the 2 uncles.
like errr prob i would have to wait till a few more years.
i dun wanna be spending on some stuff they might not even use.anyway its just a thought.
prob even a treat would suffice.
i seriously dun understand why does she wanna complicate such a simple thing.
she starting saying things abt bird nest not being environomental friendly and they might not like it.
LIKE HUH.okk.
n the moment she started saying why i dont even know when i studied so much.i just walked off from the table.

and started my long walk back home coz i only had a hp with me.
luckily we were having dinner in serangoon.
still it was qt a fair bit of walking.
dropped my bro a sms tt i'll be gg home 1st so at least they would know my whereabout.
my bro replied like a grown up and asked me to chill.hahahas.tt was qt funny.

oh well.sometimes its just so hard to communicate with my mother.

met up with roomie pok and jj on fri night.
we saw the reds promo n its so tempting!
seems like we are already tempted and are dyeing and highlighting our hair soooooooooooon.hurhur.
its been qt some time since i last dyed my hair.if u wanna exclude the failed diy session when pork tried to dye for me.

meanwhile i shall try to curb my shopping coz i shld really postpone all my shoppings during bkk trip.
hehhh.the senior i just worked with just came back from there n shes making me all excited.
someone just booked me on a job on the week i took leave.
oh man i dunno how it will work out.
but i alr booked the air ticket and hotel.
so i shld win rite.hahaas.

sometimes i really have the urge to tender.
maybe i just need to control my emotions better.or deal better with stress.
work wise.the ppl are nice.but the workload is not nice.the working hours is not nice.
ohh n it really doesnt help when i keep hearing ppl say blahblahblah is leaving.next wk blah is his or last day.
when will my last day comee!

lets talk abt happier stuff.
pulled out from 1 client today.
although it was a short 3 day limited review.i felt super stressed.
coz some things was delayed.so we had lesser time to work.
whatever it is.i feel kind of accomplished finishing it today.
i wonder how many review points i will get.its always like looking at yr exam results.can give u heart attack.

sooo.as it was our last day we had jap bento for lunch.
nicely packed n delivered into our room.the lunch seriously cheered me up.coz its so colourful looking.hahha.

i had a crazy and great friday night.
had a mini celebration for mid autumn festival with my fellow a10s.hahahas.
those who din have to ot till too late joined in.
and we went henderwaves after dinner.
yes the gals in their freaking heels and guys in their long sleeve shirt.

had a candle competition and we were split into 2 teams.

my grp masterpiece.it reads a10 with a face in the O which is our a10 logo.
the logo is a joke mann.it comes with an anthemn.
which is inspired by the tang xin feng bao song.
it goes smth like this.

if u have to do ot.
my love will get u home~

the other team's.with dunno whos head.it dosnt look too obvious from my angle.

yuppss.totally had fun.
played with sparklers and lanterns too.
it totally looked weird.coz we alr looked wrong in henderson waves in our attire.but playing with candles and sparklers as well.
did a cheer shouting 'peak peak peak' although its still 3 mths away.hahahas.to kind of boost our morale?hahas.

and for some reasons.we started dancing.and theres this mass dance in which we recoreded it down.
HAHA.i cant believe it.everyone danced.at henderson waves.in office attire.
played some weird game which make us all giddy and screaming n hopping ard on 1 leg.yes on heels!
totally a experienceee.hahhas.
everything felt like some orientation camp except that we werent in fbt n tshirt.
i wanna get the pics sooon.everyone is using fb.

and it wasnt the end of the day although it was alr 1am.
went mount faber for a drink coz we were all too thirsty and mt faber was the nearest.
went the jewel box which is an atas place and everyone paid 7 bucks for a glass of orange.
it has nice view though.and the toilet is damn cool lar.so it prob justifies the 7 bucks.

cab was the only mean of transportation to get off the mountain haha.and so spent qt a fair bit.
only that this time round we cant claim.hahahs.
yeahhh a super tiring yet crazy night =)
their bintan trip shld be even crazier then.hahas.wont be joining since im alr gg bkk.but hopefully there will be another short getaway some other time.

and pork made some mooncake with his colleagues and im gg to try it later!

wheee.i knocked off at 530 sharp!heh heh.
slacking while pork is chionging his work at subway.
so i shall bloggg.heh heh.

went for timbre last fri after work with the 47 ppl.it was meant to be a complain session.
i think we shld have it at least once a mth.
and pork joined us for the 1st time heh.
ehh the band was a lil disappointing.
1stly it started late.
2ndly.i think i would prefer something not so noisy.hahahs.

and then sat was a very belated bday cel for roomie.
a failed one though.hahha.
was supposed to be a mini surprise but we bumped into elaine vin n david before we reached the restaurant.
but anyway i hope roomie enjoyed herself!hahas.happy ultra belated 22nd!

sun was family lunch.and pork came over to my hse with nice mooncakes.heee.
and we booked our hotel for bkk.i cant wait for dec to come larrr.
yays!we only spent like 230 plus for both air tickets and accomodation.soooo cheapp!

nth much to look forward this wk.except mentor dinner this thur at ritz calton.atas lehs.anyway not my $$.i must try my very best to make it even if i have to ot.hahha.

long wkend gone too fast.booo.
attended 2 wedding over the wkend.
1st was dini's rom.which was qt touching~
and her wedding photoshoot pics are sooo pretty.
i helped out a teeny weeny bit in the deco in the morning.
i salute those who stayed on fri night to help out with all the deco.
so zai.

with the bride and groom.

me and pork on the pretty chairs.

sunday was wedding dinner of a distant uncle.haven seen 95% of the world since we dont really keep in touch.
oh wells.i think my main purpose of gg there was for food.and catching up with mj.
seems like my uncle is really doing qt well in the bank.and i saw this ntu guy from my batch at the dinner.
prob colleagues.hahas.the world is so small.

today was spent with pork.
watched time travellers wife.
pretty confusing initially coz i din read the book and i was trying hard to stay awake initially.pork fell aslp!!
but towards the end.i qt like the whole storyline.
i think its prob better as a book than a movie ba.hahahas.

and then i came home to face the reality.
open my email to see my review points.
its ALOT.
and i have no idea how to clear while i have unfinished work on hand.
sighh.
the only consolation is tt im not alone.

2 days into the 1st job.by 1st i mean non-admin.hahas.
only 1 word.stressed.
many things to do.
little time.
little understanding.
LOST and stressed.
seniors are nice.
manager ic even ask us to relax coz he can see the word stress written all over wm and my face.
but prob he might say otherwise on wed when i cant finish my stuff.hahas.
sometimes as i do i feel like quitting.i cant imagine myself knowing all the stuff my seniors know.
its really beyondd understanding and imagination.hahas.

brought home some stuff to plan the things i need to do.
need to prioritize.catch all the clients before they zoom off on time.
was feeling real depressed over the last 2 days.
and pork cheered me up by cooking dinner tonight!
heh =))
while i did my work.ok i shall cont tmr.
i kind of understand more and hope i can speed things up coz im far behind my deadline.at least im not alone in this.
although my aic havent rushed me.its inevitable to feel incompetent when u cant complete on time.

wm and i cant imagine how we are gg to complete the work allocated to us.
its really hard to imagine.
i can only try my best.

another week passed.heh.
tolerable week.
except for 2 days of ot.not too bad.anw i wasnt really doing anything brain draining.
being in office is so much more fun with company then being banished to the far far west.
the a10s had an impromptu dinner cum ktv on thur.
qt funn.the guys were like supppppppppppppppppper entertaining.i wonder whens the next time when most of us can take time off for an outing after work.
yups.that is prob the most happening event of the week.

been trying to read up the prior year workpapers for my next job.
they all look soooo chim..
some of the terms look so familiar.esp standard costing.full absorption method.and wadeva.but i cant rmb!!all the cost acct stuff.i think i really need to recap.
plus some other stress factors.
im feeling scared for my next jobbb.the only comfort i can get is tt wei min is with me.
i hope i survive!

the super gd news is.i'm gg to work from home on mon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wheeeee.
aic is off for trng so no pt tt i go back to office or clients place.my aic rocks!
so she left me some job to work from home and i would prob cont reading up the next job which is also under her.

i had a niceee and long lunch today coz its the managers treat.hoho.who happens to be my mentor manager when i interned.n he rmb me.amazing.

i dun get blisters anymore although some of my toes are still in the swollen state.hahaas.

we are one year old!
heh.
celebrated on sun.first to the underwater world.haven been there for eons.

i picked up the starfish!so did pork.hahas.
poor mr starfish must be feeling irritated coz he kept getting disturbed.and this kid practically threw mr starfish back into the pool and he remained upside down.poor thing.

ok the rest of the pics are rather unclear coz of the lighting so shall not post.
but it was a dizzy experience.mainly due to the lightings and the magnifying effect of the aquarium glass.
we had free entry to the dolphin lagoon too.the pink dolphins were vv cute! but the show wasnt vv fantastic.

had korean bbq for dinner.

yeahs.reminds me of our korea grad trip!

and last but not least.our cakes!

cute cupcakes that pork bought from raffles.hahahas.credits to him to travel back to that horrible area during wkend.

happy birthday to us!
yeah tts a ladybird trying to eat the choc bar.hahahas.so cute.

work has been tiring.
although its not brain draining coz it was mainly admin.
but i still have to stare at numbers numbers n more numbers.be it soft or hard copy.my eyes are dying.

i killed alot of trees today.like really alot.i feel really bad abt killing the trees.im so sorry.
oh well.i think i can only get used to it.hahas.

has been booked to help senior.envy those that have nth much and can jsut chiong their elearning.
headache.theres 3 mods to be completed this mth end.

core trng is stressful.1st time that they conducted it in a simulation style.and so we are split into teams to audit this fictitious co.
new work each day.but review pts from previous days kept coming back.
once u open yr workpaper the review pts sometimes fill up the whole screen u cant even really see yr own work.haa.
but feeling more n more numb each day.gotta work ot everyday.soemtimes till 7 plus.shattered my dream of gg home at 530 during trng period =( hahaha.

the simulation is rather successful in tt i think it is much closer to what will happen during fieldwork rather than if they just feed us info abt what to do.
lots of things when we were asked to do.we dun even know where to start.
instructions were just mainly what series we have to complete by the end of the day.the rest we just have to figure out somehow and ask along the way.
dunno where to start dunno where to dig what info.dunno wad we dunno.
but the managers cum 'aic' cum 'client' were rather helpful along the way.
n most of us slowly got the hang of it.somehow.
meeting with 'client' whom the managers acted as very professionally was ultra funny and i cant help but laugh each time i think of it.

yeah.things are getting better.at least for now.
they have decided to reduce our stress level by not requiring us to clear our review pts.wheee.it helped alot.like really alot.
and kept rushing us to go home.
yups.and we have half a day only to do up the last series tmr.
crossing my fingers.heh.

yupss.although it was really stressful.i think i would rather feel more stressed now than on the real job.at least i feel more prepared now.
and friday is here again!wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
